WhatsApp Expected To Roll in UPI Payment System in India

WhatsApp is expected to roll out its UPI based payments system in India soon. WhatsApp Pay will enable users to make transactions directly from the messaging app.

WhatsApp has recently launched two popular features: live location sharing and delete for everyone. Now, the messaging app will enable users to make digital payments directly to their contacts via WhatsApp. Several reports and rumours have been floating around the feature for quite some time now. It remains to be seen when WhatsApp will formally announce ‘Pay’ in India.

According to the report, WhatsApp is working on the payment via chat option on its app and it may be ready by December 2017. Once the feature is developed, Indian users can expect the update on their phones as well. The report cites a source as saying that the WhatsApp Pay will see an extended beta roll out in November and can be available all over sometime in December. Previous reports had claimed that the Facebook-owned messaging app is in talks with financial institutions to bring this new feature. However, there has been no official word on the payments feature from WhatsApp until now. But if the company is actually working on the feature, it may mean a big setback for others as it has over 200 millions subscribers in India itself.

WhatsApp has reportedly started talks with banks like SBI, ICICI, and HDFC for the in-app payments feature. According to the report, it will be a simplistic feature where users will not have to exit their chat windows and send money like they send pictures or videos. The source quoted in the report said that there will be a rupee icon on the app which will be used to make transactions.

How WhatsApp Pay feature works?

When you click on the attachment button, you will be able to see a rupee icon. Once you click on it, WhatsApp will reportedly ask you to type in the amount to be transferred. After this, you will have to enter a PIN code to confirm the transaction. Once the receiver gets a message, he/she will have the option to either accept or reject the payment.

It should be noted that this is just a report based on a source and the feature may not work like it is expected to. We can only confirm the WhatsApp Pay feature once the company decides to announce it.

SBI Cut MCLR Rates.

Country's largest lender State Bank of India will cut marginal cost-based lending rates (MCLR) across maturities by 5 basis points. The new rates will come into effect on Wednesday.

The rate cut will be SBI's first lending rate cut in 10 months. SBI, which accounts for more than a fifth of India's banking assets, will lower the 1-year MCLR to 7.95 percent from 8 per cent, according to a notification on Tuesday.

The RBI last year unveiled the MCLR, which sought to remove much of the discretion commercial banks have to set lending rates. But to its frustration, the pace of bank lending rate cuts has lagged the reduction in policy rates, which fell by a total 200 basis points since January 2015.

The RBI is keen for banks to lower lending rates further to accelerate credit growth and private investment in an economy growing at its slowest in more than three years. Bank loans last financial year grew at their slowest pace in more than six decades.

Flush with deposits after a surprise scrapping of high-value notes last year, banks led by SBI had last sharply cut lending rates under the MCLR system in early January.

The State Bank of India had earlier revised the minimum account balance for its savings accounts, as well as the penalties for non-maintenance of minimum balance, on Monday. The major change was been made with respect to savings accounts in metro cities, where SBI account holders will now have to maintain a monthly average balance (MAB) of Rs 3,000, instead of Rs 5,000.

Former RBI governor Mr.Raghuram Rajan ideal candidate to head US Federal Reserve:

Can former RBI governor Raghuram Rajan head the US Federal Reserve? Yes, he would be an ideal choice to lead the American central bank, says global financial magazine Barrons.

"If sports teams can recruit the best talent from around the globe, why not central banks?" asked an article in Barrons magazine while pitching for Rajan as the next head of the Federal Reserve.

The article regrets that "nowhere on the short list of potential candidates to lead the Federal Reserve is the current star among the worlds central bankers -- someone who oversaw a sharp drop in inflation, the stabilisation of a currency, and a 50 per cent jump in stock prices".

"Perhaps more important, his was a lonely but prescient voice warning of a financial crisis resulting from excessive risk-taking in credit derivatives -- years before it hit," it added.

There are precedents for central banks to be headed by non-citizens such as Canada-born Mark Carney at the Bank of England, the article said, maintaining that nobody is pitching for Rajan for the Fed post though he has been mentioned as a possible Nobel laureate in economics.

Rajan, who at 40 was the first non-western and the youngest to become the chief economist at the International Monetary Fund, shot to big fame three years after he predicted a financial crisis at an annual gathering of economists and bankers in the US in 2005.

He was appointed RBI Governor by the previous UPA government in 2013 and although he wanted a second term, he was not offered an extension ,which most of his predecessors got -- by the current NDA regime.

He is currently the Katherine Dusak Miller Distinguished Service Professor of Finance at the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago.

"Anna" to " Gulab Jamun"-70 New Indian Words in Oxford Dictionary

From endearing words like 'Abba' and 'Anna' to Indian delicacies like 'gulab jamun' and 'vada' can now be found in the Oxford English Dictionary (OED).

As per the latest list of inclusions, 70 new Indian words from Telugu, Urdu, Tamil, Hindi and Gujarati languages have been added to the dictionary.

Several most-commonly used words in India like 'jugaad', 'dadagiri', 'achcha', 'bapu' and 'surya namaskar' are now part of the Oxford dictionary, the OED said in a statement.

The September 2017 update adds to the 900 items already covered by the dictionary and "identified as distinctive to Indian English".

It is clear that the shared history between Britain and India has left behind a legacy of loanwords and other lexical innovations that have greatly enriched the English word stock, she said.

The seventy words newly added to the OED reflect not only the history of the country, but also the many and diverse cultural and linguistic influences which have shaped and changed the English language in India, she said.

The OED publishes four updates a year in March, June, September and December respectively

Transport Ministry Announced-New Set of Rules is Mandatory for all cars

The government has approved the timeline for implementation of the new rule. A large number of fatalities happen since most cars are not equipped with these safety features.

In a move towards making cars safer, the Union Road Transport Ministry has approved a timeline for implementing a new set of rules.

All cars manufactured after 1st July 2019 will have to be equipped with airbags, seat-belt reminders, alert systems for speed beyond 80 kph, reverse parking sensors and manual override over the central locking system for emergencies.

The move comes after considering that thousands of people lose their lives in road accidents in India every year. A large number of these fatalities happen since most cars in the country are not equipped with safety features.

While most luxury cars come fitted with such safety equipment by default, economically priced cars have them as optional extras, which most people in India tend to ignore.

The speed alarm will activate once the car crosses 80 kph. It'll grow sharper when the speed exceeds 100 kph and will be constant after 120 kph. The manual override for the central locking system will allow a door to be opened in case of an electric system failure, as passengers have been reported trapped in the cars in several instances.

The Transport Ministry has also said that airbags and parking sensors will also be made mandatory in light commercial vehicles, primarily those that run in urban areas.

Those interested in trying it out will need to buy the Amazon Key In-Home Kit, which is available for pre-order now starting at $249.99 and includes Amazon's new Cloud Cam and a compatible smart lock by Yale, Kwikset, or another manufacturer. Suzuki GZ 150 Cruiser - To Launch in India on 7th November,2017.

Suzuki motorcycles have finally got the formula for India correct, with their Gixxer range of bikes. Both the Gixxer SF faired and the Gixxer naked street-fighter are posting fairly reliable numbers as of right now. Which means that it is time for Suzuki to further their into the Indian market by entering another segment with the Suzuki GZ150( although the name is yet to be confirmed), an Intruder based Cruiser to take on the Avenger 150.

The GZ150 is already on sale in Asian markets including Indonesia, China and Vietnam. Now Suzuki themselves have remained tight-lipped about the launch, but we think it's safe to assume that the product launch on the 7th will be none other than the Gixxer. The Cruiser’s 150cc engine is likely to make 15.4 hp and 11.2 Nm of torque and will likely be mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Since the GZ 150 is slated to take on Bajaj’s Avenger series we expect that it will be placed slightly cheaper than the Gixxer and the SF, and will likely be priced at between Rs 75,000 and 80,000.

The Cruiser is likely to measure in at 2250 mm in length, 900 mm width and 1160 mm in height, and will have a wheelbase of 1,460mm. The low-riding saddle is likely to measure in at 710 mm with a decent 150mm ground clearance. The 137 kg kerb weight makes it lighter than the avenger, and the GZ150 will have a fuel tank capacity of 11.5 litres.

Now typically in India, low-capacity cruisers have rarely done well with the exception of the Avenger. Yamaha’s attempt with the Enticer is proof of that. However with its big-bike like the styling and chrome-y design, we think that the GZ might find a strong market in India, but we will have to wait till the Nov.7th to find out for sure!

Honda To Launch 6 New Model Cars in India

Honda is planning to expand its portfolio in Indian during the course of next three years in order to strengthen its prospects in the market here. The Japanese carmaker is planning to shift its focus from mid-segment and introduce latest iterations of some of its premium offering into the Indian auto market.

Honda, however, has no plans of launching any hybrid or electric vehicles in India yet. The auto giant stated that it is waiting for clarity on part of Indian government in its policies regarding hybrids and EVs before launching its environment friendly portfolio in Indian markets.

As per reports, the list of cars that might land in India during this period includes the latest model of Honda's premium sedan Accord, along with new models of the Civic and the City. Apart from this, Honda HR-V, Honda CR-V, and the compact sedan Amaze could also be launched in their latest avatars.

In 2018, Honda is likely to launch the next-generation CR-V in India. The 2018 Honda CR-V is expected to come with a 1.6-litre twin-turbo diesel engine which can produce 158hp of top power and 350Nm of top torque. The diesel engine will be mated to a nine-speed automatic gearbox. Honda will localise the engine to for the Indian market in order to keep a check on prices, said a report by Autocar India.

In the year 2019, Honda is likely to launch the new version of its Civic, which will come to India when it receives a mid-cycle facelift globally. This is to ensure that the latest version is in Indian markets. The new Honda Civic is expected to come with two engine options - either 1.8-litre four cylinder petrol engine, or the 1.6-litre diesel engine.

The second car to touch down in India from Honda stables is the HR-V. The five-seater crossover could come with the same engine options as the Honda Civic before it. With the crossover segment gaining speed in India, the Honda HR-V is likely to face tough competition from the recently launched Renault Captur, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Hyundai Creta, Mahindra TUV 300, and even the low-end variants of Jeep Compass.

Lastly, the next-gen City sedan will be launched by 2020, which is already in the works. The new version of premium sedan Honda Accord is also in the cards. Honda has launched the new Honda Accord recently in the American markets.

Sony A7R III Full Frame Mirror less Camera launched.

Sony has launched another full-frame mirrorless camera.

This new camera is the A7R III, the successor to the Mark 2 of the same camera. Although the 42.4-megapixel image sensor is seemingly the same one that was also inside the Sony A7R II, almost every other aspect of the camera -- from auto-focus to the battery life -- has been improved. In other words, most of the problems that photographers earlier didn't like in the A7R II seems to have been fixed in the new camera.

Given how good the A7R III seems on the paper, it is also safe to say that for the first time a Sony mirrorless camera is looking to truly threaten the full-frame shooters from Nikon and Canon. Until now there were several issues that held back the Sony camera, including the availability quality lenses across all focal lengths, but gradually Sony seems to be fixing all of them.

Now, with the A7R III along with some well-regarded lenses and a top class full-frame image sensor, it would be competing with the likes of the Canon 5D Mark IV and Nikon D850.

Along with announcing the A7R III, Sony has also announced two new lenses:

A 400mm F2.8 lens for wildlife shooters and a new general purpose 24-105mm F4 lens. As far as the A7R III is concerned, here is what Sony is offering:

  • 35mm full-frame 42.4-megapixel image sensor
  • Continuous shooting is now up to 10fps with 399 PDAF points.

For now Sony has not launched the A7R III in India, but considering the fact that Sony likes to bring its cameras to India soon after the global launch, it is possible that A7R III will come here in the coming weeks.

Telecom Operators now in Door Step Verification

Telecom operators have been directed to offer facility for re-verification at the subscribers' doorstep for convenience of those with disability, illness or old age.

The process of re-verification of existing mobile subscribers using Aadhaar is set to become simpler and more convenient, according to an official source.

Operators have been asked to put in place an online mechanism (through website, and other means) for people to request for such service.

Telecom service providers have been instructed to initiate a scheme to use OTP based re-verification of mobile subscribers using SMS or IVRS or on their mobile app.

"This means that if one mobile number is registered in Aadhaar database, then the OTP method can be used for reverification of that number as well as other mobile numbers owned by the subscriber," the source pointed out.

Nearly 50 crore mobile numbers are already registered in Aadhaar database, and the OTP can be leveraged for re- verification in all of these cases, the source added.

Telecom operators have also been directed to deploy iris devices at "appropriate number of service points" so subscribers have access to iris authentication "within a reasonable geographical distance".

This will be useful for people who face problem with fingerprint authentication, owing to poor fingerprint quality, disability or old age, the source explained.

Aadhaar-based e-KYC is essential for subscribers going for new SIMs. Further, the government has asked mobile operators to re-verify existing prepaid and postpaid customers, with the help of the 12-digit unique identity number. The re-verification exercise is scheduled to be completed by early 2018.

The Indian telecom market with subscriber base of over a billion is second-largest in the world after China.

Aadhaar Deadline Postponed to Mar 31,2018

The government informed its decision regarding Aadhaar linking to the Supreme Court on Wednesday

If you have been rushing to get your 12-digit Aadhaar to avail benefits of various government schemes, this news is for you. The government has postponed the deadline for mandatory linking of Aadhaar to March 31, 2018 from Dec 31, 2017.

The government has assured that it would take no action against those who do not have Aadhaar and will not be denied social welfare scheme benefits till March 31.

"We have decided to extend it till March 31, 2018," Attorney General K K Venugopal told the bench, which also comprised Justices A M Khanwilkar and D Y Chandrachud.

However, government's decision came at a time when a plea, challenging the constitutional validity of its decision to make linking of mobile numbers and bank accounts with Aadhaar a must, has been made to the Supreme Court.

According to petitioner, mandatory linking of Aadhaar with bank accounts and mobile numbers is illegal. It is also claimed that non-linking of Aadhaar with bank account would make citizens liable for prosecution under the PMLA Act.

As of now Aadhaar is needed for 135 schemes (of 35 ministries). This includes the free cooking gas (LPG) to poor women, kerosene and fertilizer subsidy, targeted public distribution system (PDS) and MGNREGA. The new deadline will apply to all of these.

World's Powerful Passport - To Access free Visa

The Singapore passport holders now have visa-free access to 173 countries around the world.

The Passport Index has announced Singapore's passport as the most powerful passport in the world with the highest visa-free score.

It is the first time in the history that an Asian country has aced the highest place in the Passport Index. Singapore's passport has a visa-free score of 159.

Earlier, Germany and Sweden were at the top positions but Singapore reached the top after Paraguay altered its visa requirements for Singaporean passports.

All the top passports that are considered to be powerful are European but with Singapore topping the list, looks like a gateway for Asian countries has been opened. For this new development, passports of 193 United Nations member countries and six territories were considered.

Since early 2017, the top position was shared with Singapore, which was steadily moving up the ranks.

Other Asian passports in the top 20 include those of South Korea, Japan and Malaysia.

INDO-US Agricultural Collaboration

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister,Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu, has said greater co-operation between India and the US would help boost agricultural production and yield promising results for both countries.

He said this at a special session on agriculture organised by the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) in collaboration with the Iowa State University as part of the World Food Prize meetings this week.

“Agricultural cooperation between the US and India allows the two countries to exchange innovative ideas and promote technical knowledge that has the power to boost agricultural production and yield promising results for both countries,” Chandrababu Naidu said at a business round-table meeting organised by USISPF in Iowa.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the areas where the US farm sector may be able to work with the Andhra Pradesh Government in providing agricultural extension services to farmers and to transfer the latest technical knowledge to the farming community, introduction of high-yielding varieties, imparting training to farmers to improve skills and knowledge to boost agricultural production and productivity.

The meeting was attended by a delegation of the Indian government as well as representatives from John Deere Financials, PepsiCo, US Department of Agriculture, US India Foundation, GrainPro, Pioneer, and the Global Food Banking Network.

The discussion focused around US-India investment and trade opportunities and challenges with the members of the Indian government, along with US industry representatives in the agriculture and food sectors.

“There are great opportunities for collaboration between the US and Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh has demonstrated leadership in the Indian food and agriculture industry by leading the way in initiatives such as mega food parks and cold chain development,” USISPF president Mukesh Aghi said.

With the aim to start 500 new IT firms in Andhra Pradesh in the next 12 months, Chandrababu Naidu had a meeting with representatives from around 80 IT companies from US. In his visit to Iowa university, he also enquired about crop genetics and discussed methods to improve agricultural productivity.

Income Tax Department Launches - Online Chat Service.

The Income Tax Department has launched an ‘online chat’ service for taxpayers so that they can seek answers to their basic queries and doubts relating to direct tax issues.

A window has been hosted on the main page of the department’s website — www.incometaxindia.gov.in/ — with a prominent icon stating ‘Live Chat Online- ask your query’. “A team of experts from the department and independent tax practitioners has been deputed to answer the general queries of a taxpayer. This first-time initiative is aimed to enhance taxpayer services in the country,” the officer said. He added that more features would be added to the online chat system based on the feedback received by the department.

A person can enter the ‘chat room’ by furnishing an email-id and ask questions as a guest. “An option has also been provided to the taxpayer for emailing the entire chat to their ids for future reference,” said by officer.

A precautionary note at the beginning of the chat, however, states: “The replies are based on the opinion of the expert and in no manner it should be interpreted as the clarification by the Income-tax Department on any matter.” Last year, the I-T department had set up a new dedicated directorate within its establishment to monitor and resolve grievances of tax payers.

RBI -New rule for Aadhaar Linkage With Biometrics.

Reserve Bank of India today said biometric identity number Aadhaar linkage with bank accounts is mandatory.

The RBI clarification followed media reports quoting a reply to a Right to Information (RTI) application that suggested the apex bank has not issued any order for mandatory Aadhaar linkage with bank accounts.

“The Reserve Bank clarifies that, in applicable cases, linkage of Aadhaar number to bank account is mandatory under the Prevention of Money-laundering (Maintenance of Records) Second Amendment Rules, 2017 published in the Official Gazette on June 1, 2017,” the central bank  in a statement.

These rules have statutory force and, as such, banks have to implement them without awaiting further instructions.

The government in June had made Aadhaar mandatory for opening bank accounts as well as for any financial transaction of Rs 50,000 and above.

Existing bank account holders have been asked to furnish the Aadhaar number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) by December 31, 2017, failing which the account will cease to be operational, the government notification had said.

The notification issued amending the Prevention of Money-laundering (Maintenance of Records) Rules, 2005, mandated quoting of Aadhaar along with PAN or Form 60 by individuals, companies and partnership firms for all financial transactions of Rs 50,000 or above

34 New Shopping Malls - To come up by 2020

As many as 34 new shopping malls, covering 13.6 million sq ft area, are expected to come up in top eight cities by 2020 as the scope for retail real estate remains high, according to Cushman & Wakefield.

Hyderabad will see maximum 11 malls by 2020, followed by Delhi-NCR 8 malls, Bengaluru 6 malls, Chennai 4 malls, Kolkata and Mumbai 2 malls each and Pune one mall. No new supply is expected in Ahmedabad.

Leasing of retail space in malls increased by 55 per cent during January-September this year at 2.3 million sq ft.

However, new supply saw a year–on–year decline of 63 per cent at 1.9 million sq ft.

“There is now a regained confidence amongst developers to pay heed to this sector as investors show greater commitment towards it,” C&W said, adding that an estimated Rs 7,959 crore has been invested by private equity funds in malls since 2016.

“With the estimated size of retail sector pegged at Rs 1 trillion by 2020, at an approximately 15 per cent CAGR between 2016-2020, the scope for retail real estate remains high,” C&W India Country Head and Managing Director Anshul Jain said.

With foreign retailers entering the country and expanding aggressively, he said brands prefer to open shops in malls that are likely to see higher occupancy levels.

“Hence, over the next few years, investors will be on a lookout for professionally managed, well-run malls that would witness yields improving and rental values inching up, thereby improving returns for investors,” said by Jain.

Deer or a Tree

Can anyone say in comment box how it looks?

Mirroless Camera - An alternate to DSLR cameras?

Whats DSLR?
DSLRs use the same design as the 35mm film cameras of days gone by. A mirror inside the camera body reflects light coming in through the lens up to a prism (or additional mirrors) and into the viewfinder so you can preview your shot. When you press the shutter button, the mirror flips up, the shutter opens and the light hits the image sensor, which captures the final image. Lets discuss about Nikon D3400 and compare it with mirrorless camera.

Whats mirrorless?
In a mirrorless camera, light passes through the lens and right onto the image sensor, which captures a preview of the image to display on the rear screen. Some models also offer a second screen inside an electronic viewfinder (EVF) that you can put your eye to. Our example of a mirrorless camera is Sony's A6300.

Lets Compare them
Size & Weight: You can carry a mirrorless camera more easily and fit more gear, such as extra lenses, into a camera bag.
Autofocus Speed: Both types offer speedy autofocus, with mirrorless cameras offering hybrid sensors that use both phase and contrast detection on the sensor.
Previewing Images: For many situations, especially low-light shooting, the DSLR's optical viewfinder is better.
Image Stabilization: Image stabilization technology is largely equivalent in both camera types.
Image Quality: With equivalent sensors and image processors, both camera types can take great photos.
Video Quality: With superior autofocus in most models, mirrorless cameras provide the best results for most filmmakers.
Shooting Speed: The simpler mechanics of mirrorless cameras allow them to shoot more photos per second, at higher shutter speeds.
Image & Video Playback: Both types offer large screens and video outputs, and some offer Wi-Fi connections to smart phones for quick image-sharing.
Battery Life: DSLRs offer the ability to shoot without using the LCD screen or EVF, which can extend the battery life.
Lenses & Accessories: DSLRs offer access to the wider range of lenses, but the gap between the two types is narrowing as more mirrorless lenses become available.
Durability: Both types offer models that are hardened against the elements.

Bottom Line
Mirrorless cameras have the advantage of usually being lighter, more compact, faster and better for video; but that comes at the cost of access to fewer lenses and accessories. DSLRs advantages include a wider selection of lenses and better optical viewfinders.

For beginners, mirrorless cameras are often a better choice due to their more compact size and simpler controls. Mirrorless cameras are also more likely to have a touchscreens than a similarly priced DSLR as well. However, as you move up in price, the size difference between mirrorless cameras and DSLRs isn't as extreme, although mirrorless cameras still have a small lead. That said, unless there's a big need for 4K video, a serious or pro shooter who wants access to a wider range of lenses and other gear would be better off with a DSLR.

Indian Passport New Rules-2017

Recently, the Ministry of External Affairs declared new rules for applying for a passport.

    DOCUMENTATION FOR PROOF OF BIRTH

As per old rules, submission of a birth certificate was compulsory for all applicants born on or after 26th January 1989. But the new rules have bought in some relaxation in this regards. Now, any of the following documents containing the Date of Birth (DOB) of the applicant will suffice:

  •     Birth Certificate (BC) issued by the Registrar of births and deaths or the Municipal Corporation or any other approved authority to register the birth of a child born in India
  •     Transfer/school leaving/matriculation certificate issued by the school last attended/recognized educational board
  •     PAN card
  •     Aadhar card/E-aadhar
  •     The copy of the service record of the applicant’s (of govt. servants) or the pay pension order (of retired govt. employees), duly attested/in-charge of the administration of the concerned ministry/certified by the officer/ department of the applicant
  •     Driving license
  •     Election Photo Identity Card (EPIC) issued by the Election Commission of India
  •     A copy of policy bond issued by the public life insurance companies

    DETAILS OF PARENT/LEGAL GUARDIAN:

The new passport rules has done away with the mandate requiring names of both parents at the time of application. An applicant now only needs to provide the name of either one of the parents or the legal guardian. This makes it easier for children with single parents or orphans to apply for a passport.

    ANNEXES

The total number of annexes has been reduced from 15 to 9. Annexes A, C, D, E, J, and K have been eliminated and some of them have also been merged. Lesser annexes means less worry for people to collate documentation.

 ATTESTATION

While all annexes needed attestation from a Notary/Executive Magistrate/First Class Judicial Magistrate previously, henceforth all these annexes can now be in the form of a self-declaration from the applicant on plain paper. This means no running around for attestation that one had to do previously.

    MARRIED/DIVORCED PERSONS:

The need for a marriage certificate has been discontinued (along with annexure K). Also, in case of a divorce the applicant will not be required to provide the name of their spouse. This is another interesting change that has been made taking into consideration changing societal norms.

WORK RELATED URGENT PASSPORTS:
In case of urgent passports, if a government employee is not able to procure the NOC (no objection certificate) or identity certificate from their employer’s side, they can submit a self-declaration stating that they have given a prior intimation letter to their employer informing that they are applying for an ordinary passport to a passport issuing authority.
