Renault has initiated the dispatching of the soon-to-be launched Captur to its dealerships across India. The crossover has been confirmed to hit the Indian market in November 6, 2017.
The Captur crossover for the Indian market is based on the M0 platform which also underpins the Duster. The Captur is 4329mm long, 1813mm wide, and 1613mm high. Wheelbase is 2673mm while ground clearance is at a decent 210mm. The India bound Captur will also come with two engine options, the 1.5-litre K9K diesel which churns out 110bhp and is the same diesel unit which powers the Duster and the Nissan Terrano. The petrol unit is a 1.5-litre unt which belts out 106bhp and 142Nm of torque.
The Captur gets major safety features like dual front aurbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist. Renault has stated that the Captur is also certified for offset frontal and lateral crash.
The Captur line-up will include a number of variants. There will be a fully-loaded top-spec variant called Platine which will include features like LED headlamps with daytime running lamps and Audi-esque dynamic turn indicators, and 17-inch alloys wheels.
Renault is also slated to offer a long list of personalisation options for the Captur, which include interior and exterior bits like contrast roof options and graphics.
